Ode to profiles

Ok, so last post I was the one contagious! Now look what this tree has come down with!?!? What do you think they will call it...? Is it a form of tree chicken pox? Or are the just "beauty marks"? Either way I think this tree needs a lot of love and sun applied generously, don't you?

Ok, so I know you guys are that gullible to believe that story. They are wooden plaques I've been working on to take to the Philly show that is just around the corner!!! So much to do in such little time. Hope I still work good under pressure!

Also in other news. I "bit the bullet" and final add some prints to my etsy shop that has just been sitting there patiently waiting for me! Yay super excited about this and will add more here shortly. Please come by and check it out, and if you have any feedback I want to hear. I'm all ears and open to improvements that I could make!

Today I have a busy day under the sun with my paintbrushes.

Take care, xoxo!

By Glance

So there has been a horrible bug flying by, and that bug my friends I have caught. Not good, not good at all! Ok, so I'm talking about having a cold here. No possible chance that this bug could be cute or make musical notes. It's the bug that makes you cough, feel light headed and to quickly sum it up feel absolutely awful! :( It has knocked me off my feet and the more I try to ignore it the more welcome it feels to stay. Boy, I hope to feel 100 percent real soon!

When I'm not in bed sleeping, I've been getting out and getting my creative grove down. I have a couple of glances of what I'm up to.
Calling her Miss Aquamarine

Heartache

Note that I painted these two on illustration board and they have yet to be cropped! Till then I think that Miss Aquamarine kinda looks like a onion head? Do you see it?

Silvia was one of my favorite illustrations, loved how the Alphonse Mucha in me speak out. :P I wish! But I really enjoyed her and would of liked to turn her into a print...leave it to me to lose her. I have suffered from the scatter brain syndrome all my life. So I made a new one with different colors. And would you of guessed days after I made the new silvia, the old one appears out of nowhere! So now I have two, don't believe this is a bad thing either.

The first illustration. Actually this looks like her "day" look

And this looks likes her "night" look

Off back to bed I go, sweet dreams everyone!

Start my week off right

So last week, I spent a little time off to catch up with family and old friends. It was very much needed, and I had a blast as always. I brought my camera with me when we went to Findlay Antique Mall. Of course I didn't get a chance to capture all the wonderful finds there with my camera, because I was too busy digging into it! If your ever in the area, its a must to venture through. That is if antiques are your thing.

There were two whole booths absoultely filled with letterpress. Any kind and every kind!

Of course they had several old movie posters and advertisment. Not surprisingly I found myself on many occasions debating about buying silhouette to hang on my wall. I decieded to behave since I'm going on a crafting adventure later this month, would be nice to have extra cash then. *keep reading the post, I'll tell you more about this so called craft adventure :D*

I found these two dogs soo ugly that they were soo cute! Not too sure what this thing was on the left with all the drawers but I liked it! I most definately could give it a good purpose if I took it home.

So now that I got all of that out of my system its time to buckle down and get serious about painting. Why? Because I am fortunate enough to be apart of Art Star Craft Bazaar! I'm SOOO excitied about this opportunity and SOOO nervous being my first show. If anyone is in the Philly area at the end of May should stop by and say hello!

Off to produce more smiles! Take care!
