First off I'll show off a sketch that I have in my head that I just threw on paper minutes ago. Conveniently it will work well for Illustration Friday this week the topic is "breezy."
Hope next week I will have a more elaborate painting of this idea. Would love to have it done to share on illustration Friday. Afraid time is not on my side to be able to do that. Although I'm pumped up to paint it! I had the idea for way to long, feels good to release it.
Yesterday I went out on a "field trip" first time going on one 6 some years! Ha! Loved it, miss field trips so much! Went to the Mazza Museum found at the University of Findlay. "Thank yous"go out to my sister letting me tag along with her and her kids and the home school group. Gina was much quicker about raving about what a fun time we had on her blog. But I want to blow the horn a little too, ha ha.
Very happy with the purchase of Hansel and Gretel pictures by Jen Corace. Gina and I both grabbed the last two copies in the gift shop! Lucky for us!Also picked up some postcards. The originals of these illustrations were found on display in the Mazza's gallery.
Fun trip :D
Since I'm on a roll of showing off what I have bought recently I have one more. Last Wednesday Lacie and I went thrift shopping where I spotted a solid white bunny. He was cute so now his home is my home! He has been hanging out in my bookshelf with the cool "bookbirds" who I have also adopted from the thrift store. I wonder what kind of books they read at night when I'm not looking?
Found these while we were out to, found it kinda funny too.
Here is a look at my first swap on swap-bot. They are atc's and to be honest I don't know much about but I had fun. Also here is a snap shot of the painting that I finished last week. I truly enjoying painting portraits the most.
